The full armor set grants 240% ''Vanilla'' Fire Damage Reduction (there is no additional effect over 100%), as well as +20% ''MI'' (short for ''MMOItems'') Fire Defense, 20% Ice Weakness, and 20% Water Weakness. Each armor piece also grants the passive '''Burn''' ability.

Note that since each piece grants 60% Fire Damage Reduction, only two pieces are required for full Fire Damage resistance.

Also, no existing weapon deals water-type damage that the Crimson Vanguard Set is weak to, but there exists weapons that deal fire-type and ice-type damage - the [[Infernal Reaper]] and the [[Candy Cane Scythe]] respectively.

* In-Game, "Crimson Vanguard" is spelled "Crimson Vangaurd". This is likely an unintended grammatical error.
* The Infernal Reaper can't have vanilla enchants applied to it, but has Mending upon crafting '''by default'''. This applies even when the Infernal Core is applied.
* Only the Infernal Core that looked like Enchanted Yellow Dye worked on the Infernal Reaper. The one that looked like an Enchanted Fire Charge did not work.
